On Friday, 15 November 2024, a paper entitled Automating the Comparison of Learning Design and Delivery Using Course Scaffolding in Moodle by Blaženka Divjak, Darko Grabar, Barbi Svetec and Petra Vondra was presented at the Informatics'2024 conference held in Poprad, Slovakia.

The paper presents the innovative learning design concept and tool: Balanced Design Planning (learning-design.eu) and the latest upgrade enabling automatic transfer of course learning design to the Moodle LMS. It describes the ongoing research and development related to algorithms and software supporting comparisons between learning design and its delivery in the Moodle LMS, which may have important implications for quality assurance of courses and study programs, as it would enable identifying the gaps between a plan and delivery.

The research was done with the support of internationally-oriented projects, namely, Erasmus+ project Innovating Learning Design in Higher Education (iLed) and the Croatian Science Foundation project Trustworthy Learning Analytics and Artificial Intelligence for Sound Learning Design (TRUELA).
