On 8 and 9 December 2022, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics of the University of Zagreb (FOI), as the iLed project coordinator, hosted the first official iLed project activity: the Kick-off meeting combined with the first Coordination meeting in Varaždin. The event gathered partners’ representatives from the University of Oulu, The Open University, Goethe University, and the School of Medicine of the University of Zagreb.

Two days of intense and successful work resulted in fruitful discussions and detailed plans for further project activities.

The Kick-off meeting was opened by the project coordinator, Professor Blaženka Divjak, PhD, and followed by the introduction of partners’ teams and presentation of the partners’ roles within each of the project work packages, as well as the related timeline. Moreover, the iLed Steering Committee was formed.

The Coordination meeting was dedicated to Work Package 2, focused on upgrading the learning design concept and tool. Most importantly, the partners discussed the research protocol which is the basis for the evaluation of the Balanced Learning Design Planning (BDP) tool, developed and piloted by FOI, by different user groups and in different educational contexts, and later on for its further upgrades.

The partners will continue with intense work on the project activities and co-creation, and the next live partner meeting will be hosted in May 2023 by the Goethe University in Frankfurt.
